We’re excited to introduce the new What’s New tab, an in-product experience designed to help you stay up to date with the latest Upwind releases, improvements, and innovations, right when they matter.
Upwind moves fast. We continuously deliver new capabilities, logic updates, and experience improvements to help security teams stay ahead of cloud runtime risk. But with that speed comes a challenge we’ve heard directly from customers: keeping track of everything that’s new can be difficult.
The What’s New tab was built to solve that problem. It provides a simple, centralized way to stay informed about the latest updates across the platform, without relying on external communications or spending extra time searching for release details.
Built for a Platform that Never Slows Down
Rapid innovation is core to how Upwind operates. Our teams are constantly refining detection logic, enhancing workflows, and introducing new capabilities that improve visibility and reduce operational friction for security teams. This pace allows customers to benefit quickly from evolving research, emerging threat intelligence, and direct feedback from real-world cloud environments. But innovation only delivers value when users can easily discover and adopt it.
The What’s New tab ensures that every customer, from practitioners to platform owners, has immediate visibility into the progress we’re making and the value being delivered. Instead of wondering what’s changed since your last login, updates are surfaced directly within the product, in a way that’s timely, visible, and easy to consume.
A Real-Time Feed of Meaningful Product Updates
The What’s New tab is designed to keep you informed whenever something new becomes available in the platform. Rather than focusing only on major launches, the feed highlights a wide range of updates that improve how you use Upwind day to day.
This includes:
- New capabilities that expand detection, coverage, or insight
- Logic updates that improve accuracy or prioritization
- UX improvements that make workflows faster and more intuitive
- Smaller enhancements, such as new filters or refinements, that add incremental but meaningful value
Each update is intentionally concise and focused, helping you quickly understand what’s changed and why it matters, without wading through long release notes, documentation, or feature release blogs.
How Updates are Delivered, and How You’ll See Them
To ensure updates are timely and consistent, the Product team publishes What’s New items directly through the Upwind platform. This allows new updates to be shared as soon as they’re ready, keeping the feed accurate and current.
When a new update is available:
- A counter appears above the What’s New icon in the top-right corner of the platform, clearly indicating that something new has been released
- Each update is easy to review, helping users quickly scan what’s relevant to them
- Once an item is read, it remains visible for 24 hours, ensuring you have time to revisit or share it with your team before it rolls off the feed
This approach balances visibility with simplicity, keeping the experience informative without becoming distracting or overwhelming.
Turning Awareness into Action
The goal of the What’s New tab is adoption. By surfacing new updates, within the past 30 days, 7 days or 24 hours, directly in the platform, Upwind makes it easier for teams to turn new features and improvements into real operational value.
Customers can use the feed to:
- Identify enhancements that improve investigation speed or reduce manual effort
- Stay current on logic updates that may impact detections or prioritization
- Quickly explore new capabilities as they become available
- Ensure teams are aligned on how the platform is evolving
For security leaders, this visibility helps reinforce confidence that the platform is continuously improving. For practitioners, it removes friction and guesswork from staying up to date.
