Field Marketing Manager, APJ
About The Position
We’re looking for a highly motivated and resourceful Field Marketing Manager to lead regional marketing initiatives across APJ, with a primary focus on Australia, India, Singapore, and Japan. This is a high-impact individual contributor role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, operates with a strong sense of ownership, and can independently drive programs from concept through execution.
You’ll be responsible for building and executing strategic field marketing programs that engage prospects, support pipeline growth, strengthen partner relationships, and elevate Upwind’s brand presence across the APJ region. This role requires a true self-starter who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and serving as the primary field marketing lead across diverse markets and cultures.
While you’ll work autonomously day to day, you’ll be supported by a collaborative global marketing organization and cross-functional partners across sales, partnerships, and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and excited to help scale Upwind’s presence across APJ through thoughtful, high-quality execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and execute regional field marketing programs across APJ including executive dinners, partner events, customer roundtables, workshops, trade shows, cloud ecosystem events, and Upwind-owned experiences that directly support pipeline and revenue goals.
• Serve as the primary field marketing lead for Singapore, India, Australia, and Japan, tailoring programs and messaging to local market dynamics while maintaining alignment with Upwind’s global brand and positioning.
• Own all event operations end to end including budgeting, vendor and venue management, contracts, shipments, booth setup, onsite execution, branded materials, gifting, and structured post-event workflows.
• Partner closely with regional sales leadership, channel partners, and demand generation teams to align programs with territory priorities, influence pipeline progression, and maximize business impact.
• Operate independently across multiple countries and time zones, proactively identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving programs forward with minimal oversight.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, partners, venues, and industry communities throughout APJ.
• Collaborate with sales teams on prospect targeting, campaign alignment, event follow-up strategy, and account-based engagement initiatives.
• Manage digital components supporting field programs including invitations, landing pages, registration workflows, email nurtures, and attendee communications.
• Maintain detailed regional calendars, budgets, event documentation, and reporting to ensure strong operational execution and stakeholder visibility.
• Track and report on program performance including attendance quality, pipeline creation, pipeline acceleration, partner influence, cost efficiency, and ROI.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve operational processes, elevate attendee experiences, and scale Upwind’s regional presence across APJ cybersecurity and cloud communities.
Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in field marketing, event marketing, hospitality or regional marketing at a high-growth B2B SaaS company.
• Proven ability to independently manage and execute events end to end across multiple countries and regions.
• Strong self-starter mentality with the ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and maintain momentum in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience supporting regional sales organizations and collaborating closely with account executives, channel teams, and leadership stakeholders.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable managing event logistics including vendors, AV, shipments, show services, branded materials, swag, and onsite execution.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across cross-functional teams, external partners, and executive audiences.
• Experience working across diverse cultures and international markets, with sensitivity to regional nuances and business etiquette.
• Comfortable traveling frequently throughout APJ and supporting onsite setup, execution, and teardown responsibilities.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move event materials and boxes up to 40 lbs as part of event setup and operational duties.
• Based anywhere within APJ with the ability to travel regularly throughout the region.
